Where are you located?

We have two locations to serve your Airstream needs. Our Texas shop is located at 7515 Faught Rd., Bldg 4, Northlake, TX. Our North Carolina shop location will be announced soon!

Do I need to bring my Airstream to your shop or do you offer mobile service?

All services are offered at either of our locations in Texas or North Carolina. At this time we do not provide mobile service.

Can I schedule a consultation online?

Yes! You can schedule a consultation online through our Contact Page, where you can either Talk to Our Team or fill out a Support Form.

Do you offer virtual consultations if I’m not local?

Yes! You can schedule a virtual consultation online through our Contact Page, where you can either Talk to Our Team or fill out a Support Form.

Do you work with out-of-state customers?

Absolutely! We welcome customers from all over the United States, but our services are only available out of our Texas or North Carolina locations.

Can I order upgrade packages or inspections online, or do I need to call first?

We approach every package as a custom build. This requires design and planning by our expert team. You can schedule a consultation online through our Contact Page.

How far in advance should I book an appointment?

Due to demand and capacity, we recommend booking an appointment several weeks before your appointed time.

Do you require a deposit to hold my spot?

We do not require a deposit to hold your spot, however, as we get closer to your appointment we may request a parts deposit.

What’s the average turnaround time for upgrades or inspections?

Average turnaround time for upgrades, available parts, and inspections varies due to the custom nature of our services, but you can expect our design experts to give you an estimated timeframe.

Do you provide written estimates before I commit?

Yes, our team will provide you a written estimate after your initial consultation, and our Upgrade Packages are listed on our site underneath the Services tab.

What payment options do you accept?

We accept checks, ACH, and credit/debit cards (payment processing charges are at the customer’s expense).

Do you offer financing for larger upgrades?

We do not offer financing or payment plan options for our upgrade packages.

Are your upgrade packages customizable, or only fixed options?

Ramble’s ROAM packages serve as a foundation for your Airstream build. Our packages are simply a jumping off point to tailor a package that’s customized just for your Airstream.

Do I need an appointment just to stop by and ask questions?

Are your services only for Airstream owners, or do you work with other RVs too?

Ramble specializes in Airstream services. We will consider upgrades on other RVs on a case by case basis.

OWNERSHIP

How long does an Airstream last with proper maintenance?

Airstreams are built to endure, many last 40 years or more when properly maintained, thanks to their aircraft-grade aluminum shell and rugged craftsmanship. In fact, around 70% of all Airstreams ever made are still on the road today.

What are the most common Airstream maintenance issues?

While no single list covers every issue, Airstreams typically need attention to things like brakes, water heaters, A/C units, wiring, roof seals, and bearings. Owners often schedule annual inspections to check these systems and refer to their owner’s manual for maintenance intervals.

How often should I get my Airstream inspected?

An annual inspection is always a good idea and we would be happy to take care of that for you. Schedule your inspection by visiting our Contact Page.

How much does it cost to maintain an Airstream each year?

Depending on the status and usage of the Airstream, reports of maintenance costs can vary anywhere from $1,500 to $2,000 annually, with extreme cases up to $4,000 annually.

Can I live in an Airstream full-time?

You’d be shocked, but yes, and it’s not uncommon! However understand full-time living in an airstream requires serious preparation and even adaptation. Owners that live in their Airstreams should expect managing limited space, insulation, maintenance schedules and external factors like dealing with mail, hygiene access and others. It is also helpful to familiarize oneself with climate control and storage solutions for extended stays.

How much weight can an Airstream carry safely?

Airstream’s “Net Carrying Capacity” (sometimes called Occupant & Cargo Carrying Capacity, OCCC) varies by model. For example, a Classic 30RB can carry around 2,275 lbs total. Staying inside these limits is critical for both safety and performance.

What towing vehicle is best for pulling an Airstream?

Towing needs vary depending on the weight of each owner’s Airstream. We do offer a one hour consultation to help you pick the perfect vehicle and hitch for your Airstream.

How long does a typical upgrade package take to complete?

Based on our demand and your upgrade needs, typical completion varies depending on the package.

Do you provide consultations to help me choose the right upgrades?

Can upgrades be done on vintage Airstreams as well as new models?

Yes! We offer upgrades for Airstreams of all types, including both vintage and older models.

Do you handle electrical, plumbing, and appliance upgrades as part of the package?

Yes! At this time, we are not providing body work.

Do your services include wheels, tires, and brake inspections during upgrades?

Yes!

Can I schedule routine inspections or seasonal prep alongside an upgrade package?
