Jonathan Penn is the co-founder of Ramble, where he brings together a deep respect for Airstream craftsmanship and years of leadership experience. Before starting Ramble, he led a nationally-recognized mechanical and electrical engineering firm in Dallas/Fort Worth, guiding operations and strategy in a highly technical, detail-driven environment. Over time, he felt called to build something more personal - something lasting. As an Airstream owner himself, he saw the need for a service shop that combined technical precision with genuine care. Ramble was born from that vision: to serve the Airstream community with honesty, excellence, and hands-on support.
Jonathan is passionate about quality - whether in the products he works on, the relationships he builds, or the faith that shapes how he leads. He believes great service starts with trust, and that doing things the right way matters, even when no one’s watching. At Ramble, he’s focused on creating a place where customers feel seen, trailers are treated with respect, and every repair or upgrade strengthens the freedom to roam. When he’s not in the shop, Jonathan’s often on the road with his wife and two boys in their own Airstream - chasing quiet mornings, open spaces, and the kind of memories that last. He treasures the time they’ve had together on the road and loves seeing other families make those same kinds of memories. For him, Ramble is about more than business - it’s about building a legacy of integrity, craftsmanship, and connection.

Chad Watson grew up immersed in the RV world, spending his childhood around his grandfather’s well-known North Carolina dealership - a place built on craftsmanship, honesty, and taking care of customers the right way. That foundation shaped everything Chad would become.
In 2022, Chad stepped into Airstream sales at Airstream of Greensboro, and it didn’t take long for his natural connection with people, product knowledge, and genuine love for the lifestyle to shine. Within just a couple years, he rose to become the #1 Airstream salesperson in the world. Alongside his wife, Laura, and their dog, Rosie, Chad has spent countless miles adventuring in their 2020 Flying Cloud 25FBT, deepening his love for the Airstream community and the culture that surrounds it.
But he also saw a problem: while Airstream builds the best trailers on the road, consistent, high-quality service and upgrade options in the Carolinas were hard to find. Airstream owners deserve better.
As co-founder of Ramble, Chad brings hands-on Airstream expertise, technical depth in upgrades like solar, lithium power systems, generators, and custom improvements, and a passion for elevating the ownership experience for every single customer who walks through the doors.
We see every Airstream as a piece of American design history and handle each with care and reverence.
